1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Dindex (dindex.ke), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use Dindex.
2. Description of Service
Dindex is Kenya's Discoverability Infrastructure — a search and directory platform for verified Kenyan entities including businesses, schools, NGOs, government agencies, healthcare providers, cooperatives, and professionals. We provide: • A searchable directory of verified Kenyan .ke entities • Organization listing and profile management • Trust scores and verification badges • Search and discovery tools
3. User Accounts
To list an organization or access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to: • Provide accurate, complete, and current information • Maintain the security of your password • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access • Be responsible for all activities under your account You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
4. Organization Listings
When you submit an organization listing, you represent and warrant that: • You have the authority to list the organization • All information provided is accurate and not misleading • The listing does not infringe any third-party rights • The organization is a legitimate, legally registered entity in Kenya We reserve the right to verify, edit, suspend, or remove any listing that violates these terms or our content policies.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent organization information • Use Dindex to spam, scam, or defraud other users • Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data without permission • Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access • Impersonate any person or organization • Use Dindex for any illegal purpose under Kenyan law
6. Content and Intellectual Property
Dindex and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Dindex.ke Limited and are protected by Kenyan and international intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit (organization descriptions, images, etc.) but grant Dindex a license to display, store, and distribute that content on the platform.
7. Trust Scores and Verification
Dindex assigns trust scores and verification badges based on our proprietary verification process. These are indicative ratings only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for business decisions. Dindex does not guarantee the accuracy of any trust scores or verification status and is not liable for decisions made based on this information.
8. Disclaimers
Dindex is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including: • Accuracy or completeness of listing information • Uninterrupted or error-free service • Fitness for a particular purpose Organization information on Dindex is user-submitted and may not always reflect current reality. Always verify critical information directly with the organization.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, Dindex.ke Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Dindex or reliance on information on the platform.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms of Service. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use Dindex ceases immediately, though your organization listings may remain visible unless you request their removal.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
